If you are trying to lose weight then paying careful attention to your diet is going to be your greatest determinant. Most people think that how much you exercise is the greatest predictor of how much weight you will lose, but losing weight and how your body looks is often determined by about 70-80 percent of your diet. Exercise just tops the diet aspect off.


I utilize exercise to keep my body healthy and strong. Exercise also helps you to maintain the weight that you want to stay at, but the diet aspect is more important. In reality having the exercise part of your health routine nailed down can be simple to do compared to having the diet part of your health routine nailed down. Diet is something that you have to give more attention too since most people eat more than they workout. We feed our bodies throughout the day, which means that we have to be more cognizant of what we are putting into our bodies; it takes consistent discipline to ensure our diets are on point.


If you are trying to lose weight to live a healthier lifestyle and to receive all of the positive benefits that come along with a healthy body weight then first look at your diet. You can often shed many pounds by simply changing your diet and being more aware of what you put into your body on a regular basis. I know one woman to this day that lost over 50 Ibs. Simply by changing her diet, she did not even workout one time. However, exercise is important. To expedite the weight loss process adding in an exercise regimen will do you a lot of good.
